Akram Mustafa, MD, joins Summit Health after completing his residency in internal medicine. Dr. Mustafa is a member of the American College of Physicians and American Medical Association. He has been a volunteer physician and preceptor for JeffHOPE, an organization that supports student-run clinics for the underserved people of Philadelphia.

Dr. Mustafa says, "My passion for the sciences and my desire to help people inspired me to become a doctor. I believe that educating my patients so that they understand their condition / disease and treatment plan is key to helping them achieve their health goals."

When he is not working with his patients, Dr. Mustafa enjoys spending time with his family and music. He also enjoys playing and watching sports.
