Sang (Jonathan) Il Lee, MD, is a member of Summit Health’s Family Medicine team. His clinical focus will be serving adults with acute and chronic illnesses, conducting small office-based procedures, and providing annual wellness/work physicals. He will also offer surgery clearance, vaccination recommendations, and provide treatment for geriatric and women’s health concerns.

Dr. Lee credits his passion for medicine to his late father. As a former community pediatrician, Dr. Lee’s father showed his son what it meant to care for the community. He aims to provide the highest level of care to all his patients and truly listen to their concerns, creating a plan that his patients can follow through with. Interactions with his patients and getting to know the individual is what he enjoys most.

“Many of us are fortunate enough to have had the provisions to build a solid foundation,” Dr. Lee says. “I want to improve the daily physiologic capacity of individuals, so they are motivated to seek out what they need in life.”

When he is not seeing patients, Dr. Lee enjoys astrophotography, photography, gardening, painting, and traveling.
