About John A. Watson, MD
In 1992, Dr. John A. Watson graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, CO. Dr. Watson spent the next six years on active duty in the Air Force, before continuing on to medical school. He commenced his medical school training in 1997 and, in 2002, obtained his degree in medical science from the New Jersey Medical School. From 2002 to 2004, he completed a surgical internship at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in New Brunswick, New Jersey. Immediately following his internship, Dr. Watson continued his training at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, where he completed his residency in surgery and urology. Dr. Watson joined Urology Care Alliance in September 2008. He has since become an invaluable and indispensable member of our medical staff. Dr. Watson is Board Certified in Urology.
Presently, Dr. Watson is associated with a myriad of distinguished local hospitals in the Hamilton area. For example, as early as 2008, he has worked as a member of the Active Staff at both Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital and Capital Health Systems at Fuld Hospital in Hamilton and Trenton, New Jersey. Similarly, in 2009, Dr. Watson established himself as an active staff member at the University Health Center at Princeton. In 2010, Dr. Watson began working as an active staff member at St. Francis Medical Center in Trenton, and Capital Health Systems at Hopewell Hospital in Ewing. His work at these reputable hospitals appends and incorporates his vehement alacrity for burgeoning, exemplary medical research and clinical experience, which is continuously au courant in the field of urology.
From November 2008 to April 2009, Dr. Watson was awarded an international fellowship to bolster and augment his clinical experience to better serve the needs of his patients. During this time, he was privileged to work at the august and prestigious L’Institut Mutualiste Montsoursis in Paris, France. The international fellowship focused on laparoscopic surgery, including the Da Vinci Robotics Surgical System for Urology. After the completion of his fellowship, in April of 2009, Dr. Watson then returned to Urology Care Alliance, where he has imparted the skills, knowledge, and experience he gained in France to his colleagues in our practice. Furthermore, he perpetually refines his talents by supporting and embarking on aeonian research to provide his patients with the latest clinical practices and treatment techniques.
He has published several articles in multifarious medical journals, much like his colleagues Dr. Linder and Dr. Brackin, and periodically attends ongoing clinical research conferences to further develop his research, as well as to support the work of his colleagues. Dr. Watson is a certified and licensed urologist in the state of New Jersey and is a certified member of the American Urology Association. He aspires to provide his patients with the best possible care using the most state-of-the-art treatment options through the aid of cutting-edge research.
