Yun Hsiang Wang MD is a general surgeon who specializes in minimal invasive surgery as well as acute care surgery. Dr. Wang takes care of a wide range of patients that vary significantly in their pathology as well as acuity. From sick patients with urgent surgical problems in the ER such as acute appendicitis, cholecystitis, and bowel obstructions to perforations of the upper and lower GI tract, as well as a variety of elective procedures such as abdominal wall hernias and masses, as well as benign and malignant colorectal pathologies and chronic reflux disease requiring surgical intervention.  

He has great interest in the advances of surgery which allow him to perform procedures with minimal access using laparoscopy as well as the da Vinci Robot. He believes what is most important during a patient visit is making sure the patient leaves the office feeling cared for and confident. This involves the patient understanding all aspects of the care given through simple conversations, and answering all his or her questions with patience. 

When not practicing medicine, Dr. Wang treasures his time off by spending it with his wife and son - whether it is checking out the new local gelato place or relaxing on the beach. He enjoys staying active by running and going to the weight room, and his favorite place to eat is an authentic izakaya.
