Adrian C. Lombardi, MD is a Family Medicine physician who focuses on adult medicine, providing acute and chronic medical care services as well as routine wellness visits, sick visits, and minor injury care to a highly diverse population in a traditional practice setting. He truly feels that an “ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure” and that patient education is of equal importance to managing one’s health.

Dr. Lombardi’s approach to patient care is very simple. “I educate and involve patients in their own care to the best of my and their abilities and treat patients and their families the way I would expect my family to be treated”, he says. He feels that educating patients regarding the “why “, furthers our efforts to maintain and improve health -- clear communications and an understanding of the purpose of the visit and mutual understanding of the goals of the visit are of greatest importance.

Dr. Lombardi really enjoys the ability to interact with a lot of people on a given day and he likes the fact that no two visits are the same. He may see one patient for a surgical clearance for an orthopedic injury and then pivot to counseling a new father who needs advice about his anxiety on caring for his newborn. Never knowing what challenge lies in the next visit keeps him on his toes and going through the day.

When not practicing medicine, Dr. Lombardi enjoys boating, fishing, and gardening as well as learning about the local history of Long Island. He is also especially interested in the preservation of the wonderful environment and ecology of Long Island and the great South Bay.
