Ling Lan, MD, is a member of Summit Health’s Internal Medicine team. Dr. Lan received her medical degree from West China School of Medicine, Sichuan University in China. She completed 3 years of internal medicine residency at Peking Union Medical College Hospital in Beijing. Since then, she has been pursuing her career in the USA. She completed her internal medicine residency at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center before joining Summit Health. 

Dr. Lan believes that the best medical practice should focus on prevention. Early detection, early diagnosis, and early treatment are the keys to improving the quality of life for patients. Dr. Lan believes medicine is not only a science but also an art. Every patient is unique and a good doctor should to seek the best strategy for treating a patient based on the patient's individual needs. Dr. Lan is passionate about contributing to patient health and the community. Her clinical interests include Preventive Medicine and Metabolic Syndrome-related Disorders.

When not treating patients, Dr. Lan enjoys having time with her family. She likes cooking, practicing yoga, and doing outdoor activities.
