Dr. Reyes is a member of Summit Health’s Pain Management team. Dr. Reyes specializes in assessing, diagnosing, and managing acute and chronic back, neck, and joint pain. He provides a range of in-office injections, including trigger point injections, shoulder and knee joint injections, and injections for greater trochanteric bursitis.

He obtained a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree, the highest level of education as a nurse practitioner, from Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences. Dr. Reyes is double board-certified, holding certifications in Family Medicine and Pain Management. Before he began seeing patients as a nurse practitioner, Dr. Reyes was the Lead Registered Nurse of Pain Management in Summit Health and assisted in outpatient interventional pain management procedures. He has a decade of nursing experience that consists of operating room, urgent care, and medical-surgical acute care settings.

He is the recipient of several scholarly awards, including the Summit Health Cares Next Generation Scholarship. He was inducted into the National Society of Collegiate Scholars and Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing. Dr. Reyes is a member of several organizations, most notable include the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, American Society for Pain Management Nursing, and the Association of Ringside Physicians.

Dr. Reyes is committed to making a positive impact on people’s lives. He believes healthcare is a platform where science and compassion intersect. This allows him to not only apply medical knowledge but also connect with individuals on a human level.

He delivers effective patient care by emphasizing a collaborative, holistic, and multimodal approach where patients actively participate in their own care. “During an office visit my priority is to empower patients through health education and enable them to make informed decisions about their health,” said Dr. Reyes.

Outside of the office, Dr. Reyes enjoys spending time with his wife and rescue dogs, as well as training in Mixed Martial Arts.
