About James Jen, MD
Dr. Jen serves as the Department Chair of Vascular Surgery and Interventional Radiology at Summit Health (formerly Westmed Medical Group).
As a board-certified vascular surgeon, he has expertise in caring for patients with circulatory disorders of the arteries and veins. This includes providing the full spectrum of care for vascular disorders including diagnosis, medical management, and surgical and endovascular therapies.
Conditions treated include aortic and peripheral aneurysms, carotid disease, peripheral arterial disease, dialysis access, varicose veins, and deep vein thrombosis.
Dr. Jen received his undergraduate degree from Princeton University. He received his medical degree from the Stony Brook University School of Medicine and went on to complete his internship and residency in general surgery at Stony Brook University Medical Center. He completed a fellowship in vascular surgery at Mount Sinai Hospital.
Prior to joining Summit Health, he was a vascular surgeon at Abington Hospital, Jefferson Health in Pennsylvania.
Dr. Jen's hospital affiliations include White Plains Hospital, Greenwich Hospital, and Saint Joseph's Medical Center. Dr. Jen serves as the Chief of Vascular Surgery, Co-Medical Director of the Center for Advanced Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medicine, and is a former member of the Medical Board at Saint Joseph's Medical Center.
He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a Fellow of the Society for Vascular Surgery. He is a former member of the SVS Community Practice Committee. He also is a member of the New York Society for Vascular Surgery and the American Venous Forum.
