About Lori J. Tindel-Kahn, MD
Dr. Tindel is a board certified ophthalmologist and a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. After graduation from New York Medical College, she trained in internal medicine at Lenox Hill Hospital for one year. This was followed by a three year ophthalmology residency at the Brookdale Hospital Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. Dr. Tindel received advanced fellowship training in medical retina at Bellevue Hospital/NYU Medical Center. She specializes in laser treatment of retinal diseases, including diabetic retinopathy and macular degeneration. Dr. Tindel has published research in her chosen field on the subject of fluorescein angiography.
Dr. Tindel joined Kaiser Permanente in 1991 and was named department chief in 1993. She joined Summit Health (formerly Westmed Medical Group) in May 1999. Dr. Tindel is affiliated with White Plains Hospital and she is an associate clinical professor in ophthalmology at Weill Medical College of Cornell University at New York-Presbyterian Hospital.
