Kelly Billig, MD is a member of Summit Health’s Internal Medicine and Pediatrics team. Dr. Billig pursued a career in healthcare to apply her love of science in order to benefit the community. Her area of expertise is focused on treating patients of all ages, enjoying being a general practitioner who can approach any clinical problem – she has treated newborns and nonagenarians on the same day.

As part of her broad skillset, the doctor is interested in the following: Womens’ health including performing PAP smears, weight management, neurodiverse children and adults, integrative health approaches, and trauma informed care. 

Her philosophy to patient care is to treat each patient as an individual. “I like to form unique partnerships with each of my patients to achieve their health goals. I use motivational interviewing to aid me in developing health goals with my patients”, she says.  She is also welcoming to LGBTQ+ patients.

Most important during a patient visit is listening to her patients. She most enjoys getting to know her patients over the years and becoming collaborators in health with them to achieve the common goal of achieving and maintaining good health.

Outside of treating patients, Dr. Billig enjoys reading, yoga, and hiking and would like to educate the community more about health prevention.
