Heejin Koh, MD, is a board-certified dermatologist at Summit Health. She pursued a career in health care to help patients treat and manage their health issues. Dr. Koh was drawn to dermatology because of her deep interest in skin health and its connection to the overall well-being of the body. She loves that she can help patients manage their skin conditions, which can affect both their physical and mental well-being.

Dr. Koh specializes in the care of skin and hair. She does a mix of general dermatology such as skin cancer screenings, acne, eczema, psoriasis, and cosmetic dermatology such as benign removals, botox, lasers, microneedling, etc. She treats all ages, but has a special interest in inflammatory skin disorders like eczema and psoriasis, and hair loss disorders. She completed her residency training at Mount Sinai Hospital in NYC and also completed a fellowship at Mount Sinai, where she was a sub-investigator for multiple dermatology clinical trials testing novel therapeutics. 

Dr. Koh believes in an individualized approach to patient care, which means prioritizing a patient's unique needs, values, preferences, and health goals. She says, “Interacting with the patient is the most important. I want to ensure that I gather all the information the patient wishes to share so I can develop the most effective treatment or management plan. It's also important to me that the patient fully understands what I've explained and feels comfortable and in agreement with the plan."

Outside of work, Dr. Koh loves going to restaurants and movies with her family. She's also passionate about increasing awareness for sun protection and melanoma research
