Dr. Batta is a board-certified ophthalmologist. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in biology from Swarthmore College in Swarthmore, PA. After receiving her medical degree, with honors, from Albert Einstein School of Medicine in Bronx, NY, Dr. Batta completed an internal medicine internship at NYU Langone Medical Center. She went on to complete her ophthalmology residency at New England Eye Center at Tufts Medical Center located in Boston, MA, followed by a cornea and refractive surgery fellowship at the Illinois Eye and Ear Infirmary at University of Illinois at Chicago Medical Center.

Prior to joining Summit Health (formerly Westmed Medical Group), Dr. Batta worked at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary of Mount Sinai in New York, where she served as the Director of Medical Student Education. In this role, she was involved in training residents and fellows. Currently, she is a clinical assistant professor at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.
