Scott Buzin, DO is a member of Summit Health’s Orthopedic team. He pursued a career in healthcare because it provides the unique opportunity to positively impact each of his patients.

Dr. Buzin specializes in complex sports medicine and advanced arthroscopic procedures in all areas of the body. He treats patients of all ages and activity levels, with a focus on treating a variety of orthopedic musculoskeletal conditions caused by trauma, athletics, and overuse. He has advanced knowledge of repairs/reconstructions of tendons and ligaments, cartilage preservation, and osteotomies among various other sports medicine procedures. Dr. Buzin is also highly trained in general orthopedic surgery including fracture care and joint replacements.

He has extensive experience working with competitive athletes. He gained valuable experience working with the New Jersey Devils, New Jersey City University, Montclair High School, Hudson Catholic High School, and Long Beach State University.

“My highest priority is to create an individualized treatment plan specific to each patient, and to be able to come to a shared decision on the right course of action”, say Dr. Buzin. Most importantly, he wants his patients to leave the office feeling empowered to make educated decisions about their health. Furthermore, he enjoys seeing his patients recover quickly and return to their active lifestyle.

Dr. Buzin has published numerous articles on sports medicine and orthopedic surgery. In addition, he serves as a reviewer for the American Journal of Sports Medicine.

When not treating patients, Dr. Buzin enjoys playing golf, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
