Dr. DiCaprio is a board-certified gastroenterologist and internist. He completed his undergraduate studies, summa cum laude, at Rutgers University in New Brunswick, NJ and earned his medical degree at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey School of Osteopathic Medicine in Stratford, NJ. Dr. DiCaprio then went on to complete his residency in internal medicine followed by a gastroenterology fellowship at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York, NY.

Prior to joining Summit Health (formerly Westmed Medical Group), Dr. DiCaprio worked as a gastroenterologist at AdvantageCare Physicians in New York, NY. Dr. DiCaprio is also board-certified in obesity medicine. He has a special interest in weight loss management as well as anti-reflux medicine. Additionally, he has published peer-reviewed articles on various academic topics related to gastroenterology.
