Castro Bali, MD, is a member of Summit Health’s Endocrinology team. Dr. Bali originally pursued a career in health care because of his dual desire to help society and his interest in science. He believed a career in medicine was the best solution to care for people by easing their pain.

With an area of expertise in general endocrinology, Dr. Bali is interested in various types of diabetes management. “It is my goal to apply my clinical experience and skills to provide high quality health care based on current scientific evidence,” he explained.

During a patient visit, Dr. Bali believes it’s important to treat patients with respect and compassion. He listens patiently to his patients, assessing any obstacles in their disease management and working with them as a team in their medical decision making. He feels fulfilled and gratified by solving complex and difficult endocrine problems.

Outside of treating patients in the office, Dr. Bali enjoys running, hiking, music, traveling, and reading. His passions extend to educating the community about diabetes and related complications, thyroid/parathyroid disorders, thyroid nodules, and cancers.
