Diana Yildirim, MD, is a member of Summit Health’s Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine team. Dr. Yildirim has always had a passion to help people, especially children. As an undergraduate, Dr. Yildirim received a degree in public health. During that time, she learned about the importance of preventive medicine and how it can impact everyone’s health.

As a pediatrician, Dr. Yildirim treats newborns, children, and adolescents during both sick and well visits.  “I have a specific interest in treating patients who suffer from obesity and ADHD, as well as caring for newborns and multiples,” she says.

Dr. Yildirim believes that prevention is better than cure and there are many ways to stay healthy. With every sickness, there are always ways to alleviate the symptoms and improve the quality of life. “As doctors, it is our utmost duty to make every bout of illness easier for the patient and parents or caregivers,” she explains.

During a patient visit, Dr. Yildirim enjoys getting to know the patients and their parents. Part of her foundational philosophy is to always address their concerns and listen to them. She enjoys seeing her patients thrive and grow up to be healthy and strong.

When she is not in the office, Dr. Yildirim enjoys reading, watching movies, and listening to music. She has amazing adventures with her husband, son, and twin girls as well, going fishing, exploring parks, visiting museums and zoos. Her passions also include an interest in child labor and immigration issues.
