Dr. Michael is board certified in internal medicine and nephrology. He graduated cum laude with a bachelor of science degree from City University of New York. He received his medical degree from Upstate Medical University in Syracuse. He completed his internal medicine internship and residency at Long Island Jewish Medical Center, and he was chief fellow in nephrology at the same institution.

Dr. Michael is experienced in hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, continuous hemodialysis therapies, care of kidney transplant patients and total parenteral nutrition.

Prior to joining Summit Health (formerly Westmed Medical Group) in March 2012, Dr. Michael was in solo practice in New Rochelle since 2008. He serves as medical director for the Outpatient Mount Vernon Hemodialysis Unit and has privileges at The Wartburg Home in Mount Vernon. Dr. Michael is affiliated with Lawrence Hospital Center.

Dr. Michael was born in Toronto and currently lives in Yonkers. He is a registered tennis player through the U.S. Professional Tennis Registry and is a certified chess instructor. Dr. Michael speaks Malayalam.
