About Kara Sarrel, MD, MBA
Kara Sarrel, MD, MBA, is a member of Summit Health’s Orthopedics and Sports Medicine team. Dr. Sarrel specializes in primary hip replacements, primary knee replacements, complex primary hip and knee replacements, Mako robotic hip and knee replacement, and revision hip and knee replacements. Dr. Sarrel treats adults of all ages with hip/knee osteoarthritis and other conditions.
Dr. Sarrel believes in personalized care. She believes the most important thing during a patient visit is listening and communicating effectively.
“There is a saying in orthopedics, ‘We don’t treat X-rays, we treat patients,’” said Dr. Sarrel. “Meaning not every hip or knee arthritis is the same, and not every patient will have the same set of symptoms.”
Outside of work, Dr. Sarrel enjoys spending time with family and friends.
