Estela Wajcberg, MD, is a board-certified physician who is a member of Summit Health’s Internal Medicine team. Dr. Wajcberg recalls that as a child, she always had an interest in science and taking care of others. During her career in medicine, Dr. Wajcberg’s primary focus has been diabetes and geriatrics. She trained as an endocrinologist in her home country and has worked in geriatrics for the last 10 years.

As part of her medical practice, Dr. Wajcberg always treats every patient as if they are a family member. “This connection is very important to me, and I view the doctor-patient relationship as a friendship,” says Dr. Wajcberg.

When she’s not treating patients in the office, Dr. Wajcberg enjoys spending her time running and reading. In addition, she feels passionate about educating the community about the subjects of female empowerment and equal rights. She has also completed research and been published on the topic of diabetes.
