Dhara Shah, DO, is a member of Summit Health’s Cardiology team. Her passion is to inspire individuals to take control of their lives – she loves to not only diagnose and manage health concerns, but also educate and inspire patients to live their best lives. 

Dr. Shah’s area of expertise is treating adults in all non-invasive cardiology, including: prevention, hypertension, lipidology, women’s health, pregnancy-related cardiovascular care, nutrition and diet, coronary artery disease, congestive heart failure, valvular diseases, and more. Her special clinical interest is women’s cardiovascular health including cardio obstetrics.

Board certified in various fields including echocardiography and nuclear imaging, most important during a patient visit is to educate her patients and to provide evidence-based care. 

“I focus on patient care with a holistic approach, involving a complete and thorough understanding of my patient, their background, and their concerns. I believe in being able to disentangle the spoken from the unspoken, the patient from the individual, and the science from the emotion. This allows me to build a strong connection and provide dedicated care”, she says. 

When not seeing patients, Dr. Shah’s interests are cooking, traveling, and spending time with family. Dr. Shah has participated in extensive research studies and additional committee work as well.
