Michael Genereux, DO, is a member of Summit Health’s Family Medicine team. As a family medicine practitioner, Dr. Genereux provides care for individuals from adolescence to adulthood. He pursued a career in healthcare because he believes practicing medicine offers a unique opportunity to serve the community.

Dr. Genereux's goal is to work with his patients to understand them and optimize their health. Dr. Genereux relies on up-to-date information to create an individualized treatment plan for each of his patients, which is crucial to achieving their long-term health goals.

"The most important aspect of a visit to me is to be fully present and listen to the patient," says Dr. Genereux. What he enjoys most about his work is the rewarding experience of watching a patient reach their health goals.

When not working, Dr. Genereux enjoys spending his free time cooking, playing tennis and exploring the great outdoors. He is incredibly passionate about emphasizing the importance of nutrition and diet for maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
