Maria Gatoulis, MD, FAAP is a member of Summit Health's Pediatrics/Adolescent Medicine team. Dr. Gatoulis has always wanted to be a pediatrician and enjoys all aspects of her specialty. She is experienced in treating children—newborn through age 21—and has a special interest in caring for young girls and adolescent females. Additionally, she enjoys helping women transition from the prenatal period into parenthood. As a mother, Dr. Gatoulis understands the trust that’s placed in pediatricians and she is honored to be part of such a special relationship. Her care philosophy is to partner with parents to provide her patients with excellent medical care in a compassionate and caring setting. “I treat the families that come to me the same way I would want my own children to be treated,” she states.

Before joining Summit Health, Dr. Gatoulis was in private practice in Sussex County, New Jersey for eight years. She has been consistently named a New Jersey Favorite Kids' Doc annually since 2012. When not seeing patients, Dr. Gatoulis is dedicated to giving back to the community. She is a board member of The Salvation Army Morristown chapter; is an active parent volunteer for her children’s grammar school and has remained involved with the Georgetown Medical community.

She enjoys being outdoors with her two daughters, gardening with her husband, and going on family travel adventures.
