Stephanie Chu, MD, is a member of Summit Health's Family Medicine team. Her journey in healthcare started with a love for music and biology. She used to volunteer as a music therapist in nursing homes, where she found the joy of improving the lives of others. This led her to pursue a career in human medicine.

Dr. Chu has a background in Women’s Health and Family Medicine. She treats patients of all ages, from newborns to adults, and performs a wide range of procedures. She takes pride in caring for whole families, many of whom span 3-4 generations. Dr. Chu is also involved in academic medicine, training Family Medicine residents and medical students.

Dr. Chu believes in making all her patients feel comfortable and safe to discuss any mental or physical health concerns. "Communication and a full understanding of one’s options, the reasoning behind their medical tests and treatments, and coordination of care between various specialists, is just as important as what care is given," she says.

Outside of work, Dr. Chu loves to travel and explore new places, spend time with her family, and enjoy nature. She is passionate about her job and feels privileged to be able to have been given tools that she can use to better the lives of others.
