Femie Joji, PA, is a member of Summit Health’s Family and Internal Medicine team. As a young girl, Mrs. Joji had a keen interest in the health care field. Her desire to become a physician assistant was a passion that accumulated over time and was solidified after she volunteered at multiple hospitals during her high school years. Mrs. Joji grew to love the health care environment, taking care of patients, and making long-lasting personal connections.

In her role as a physician assistant, Mrs. Joji manages the care of patients who are 18 and older. “I treat chronic conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, and COPD, along with acute problems like the flu, COVID, upper respiratory illness, and pneumonia,” she says.

Her approach to patient care is thoughtful and holistic, as Mrs. Joji believes: “Every patient is different. This difference makes us all unique,” she explains. “I keep an open mind when I see patients and always make an effort to understand their life story because not everyone’s story is the same.”

Making a personal connection with her patients during an office visit is very important to Mrs. Joji. She also enjoys spending time with her patients, getting to know them from both a health perspective and on a personal level.

When she is not providing quality health care to patients in the office, Mrs. Joji’s personal interests include cooking, traveling, and spending time with her husband and son. She is also especially passionate about health care disparities related to socioeconomic status, and educating the community about preventative care and good nutrition.
