About Cordelia S. Schwarz, MD
Dr. Schwarz is a board certified general neurologist with subspecialty training in movement disorders.
She graduated magna cum laude from Heidelberg Medical School. After completing her internship and residency training in neurology at the Weill Cornell Medical Center of New York-Presbyterian Hospital, she did a fellowship in movement disorder at Beth Israel Medical Center. She went on to do a post-doctoral fellowship in molecular neurobiology at the Rockefeller University.
Her clinical interests include Parkinson's disease, ataxia, dystonia, blepharospasm and tics. She also treats patients with a variety of neurologic conditions, such as stroke, neuromuscular disorders, tumors, multiple sclerosis, dementia, back pain and seizures.
Additionally, she administers Botox as a treatment option for her patients who have migraine headaches.
Dr. Schwarz has extensive clinical and research experience. She is the author of several peer-reviewed publications and book chapters.
She is affiliated with Lawrence Hospital Center, New York-Presbyterian Hospital, White Plains Hospital and is an assistant clinical professor of neurology at the Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons.
