Shirlane Bowen, APN is a member of Summit Health's Family and Internal Medicine team. Family nurse practitioner Shirlane Bowen is devoted to providing her patients with quality care. She started practicing in 2014, with a medical interest in primary care, gynecology and gerontology. 

Shirlane treats adults, performing physical exams, well-woman exams and Medicare annual wellness visits.  

Shirlane earned her undergraduate degree in nursing from Immaculata University in East Whiteland Township, PA. She became a family nurse practitioner after completing her master of science in nursing degree at the College of New Jersey in Ewing, NJ. Shirlane has more than 16 years’ experience as a labor and delivery nurse. She also has experience in gynecology, in primary care at a federal-qualified health center, and as a provider at a skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility. She is certified by the American Associations of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) and is a preceptor for nurse practitioner students. 

In her free time, Shirlane enjoys reading, traveling and cooking.
