Dr. Brijesh G. Patel, a native of New Jersey, studied Biology as an undergraduate at Brown University in Providence, RI, and earned a medical degree at Rutgers University New Jersey Medical School in Newark, NJ. He pursued 5 years of residency training in Urology at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, IL, followed by an additional one-year fellowship focused on Endourology and Robotic Surgery.

Dr. Patel has delivered many regional, national, and international presentations on a variety of urologic pathologies, residency education, and perioperative care. He led the effort to build the world’s largest database for prostate MRI and fusion biopsy to evaluate accuracy of the diagnostic tool. He also served as a publication reviewer for the Journal of Endourology.

In practice, Dr. Patel focuses on robotic management of prostate and kidney cancer as well as benign diseases, such as ureteropelvic junction obstruction, ureteral strictures, and bladder outlet obstruction. Additionally, he specializes in endoscopic management of bladder cancer, and offers a variety of treatment options for stone disease including extracorporeal shockwave lithotripsy (ESWL), ureteroscopy & lithotripsy (URS), and percutaneous nephrolithotomy (PCNL).
