Dr. Auerbach is board certified in gastroenterology and internal medicine. He graduated from the Tufts University School of Medicine and completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at The Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York, NY. Dr. Auerbach also completed his fellowship in gastroenterology at The Mount Sinai Medical Center.

Previously, he was in private practice in Yonkers, NY as a partner with the Westchester Digestive Disease Group for 22 years. He was division chief of gastroenterology at St. John's Riverside Hospital from 2013 to 2015.

Dr. Auerbach has been chosen for Westchester Magazine's Top Doctors issue in 2002, 2004, 2006, 2015, 2016 and 2017. He was also selected for Castle Connolly's Top Doctors in the NY Metro Area from 1999 2017.

He practices comprehensive general gastroenterology and hepatology with the following areas of clinical interest: inflammatory bowel disease (Crohn's disease & ulcerative colitis), gastroesophageal reflux disease, hepatitis C and colon cancer screening.

Dr. Auerbach is an avid runner and has completed 20 marathons, including the Boston Marathon.
