Rahul Agarwal, MD, is a member of Summit Health’s Endocrinology team. Prior to joining Summit Health, Dr. Agarwal was an Assistant Professor at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York City where he mentored residents and fellows, engaged in quality improvement projects, performed clinical research, and served as the medical director for a large multispecialty practice.

As a general endocrinologist, Dr. Agarwal treats patients with thyroid disease, pituitary and adrenal disorders, obesity, calcium imbalance, and he has a special interest in diabetes and osteoporosis management.

Dr. Agarwal strives to improve the quality of life of people living with chronic diseases. He believes in shared decision making to help empower the patient. In addition, Dr. Agarwal is passionate about giving straightforward answers and creating a realistic treatment plan.

“I believe in listening to the patient to better understand potential barriers to quality care,” said Dr. Agarwal. “What I enjoy most is building long-term patient care relationships.”

Outside of the office, Dr. Agarwal enjoys traveling and cooking.
