Matthew Gabriel, PA is a member of Summit Health’s Orthopedics and Sports Medicine team. As part of a physician-led team, Mr. Gabriel provides a wide range of medical care to patients of all ages who have suffered injuries of the musculoskeletal system.

Mr. Gabriel’s philosophy and approach to patient care is to incorporate the biopsychosocial model of medical education that he was introduced to while enrolled in the Mercy College Physician Assistant Program. “At its core, this approach, which I use with every patient I encounter, is the understanding that illness and injury are affected by multiple things and layers,” he says. “By working to address all possible components of pain, I can help my patients achieve the best possible outcomes.”

At each visit, Mr. Gabriel strives to build a strong provider-patient relationship and answer all questions regarding their diagnosis and treatment plan. He says, “My goal with every visit is to provide exceptional orthopedics and sports medicine care so patients leave without any questions.”

When not caring for patients, Mr. Gabriel entertains his love for fitness training and competing in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and practices boxing and mixed martial arts.
