Waleed Ijaz, DO, is a member of Summit Health’s Family and Internal Medicine team. As an family medicine physician, Dr. Ijaz focuses on scheduling screenings and immunizations, and treating chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, and managing musculoskeletal concerns.

Dr. Ijaz is passionate about helping patients navigate the health care system and being the point of contact for patients to ensure they receive compassionate, reliable, and evidence-based care. “I believe in making medicine easy for everyone to understand,” said Dr. Ijaz. “I want patients to have the full understanding of their health and understand how they can be healthy long term.” Dr. Ijaz believes that helping patients understand what is affecting their health along with providing easy to understand ways to maintain their health is the foundation to a successful visit.

Outside of work, Dr. Ijaz enjoys running, spending time with family, traveling, and trying new foods.
