Our female pelvic medicine team offers surgical and nonsurgical treatment for a variety of conditions that affect women’s pelvic health. Some of the most common conditions we treat include pelvic organ prolapse, urinary incontinence or leakage, fecal incontinence, and numerous cosmetic and functional problems.
We have highly experienced physicians who offer a variety of nonsurgical treatments and reconstructive surgeries, including:
- Treatment for genitourinary prolapse (a dropped uterus, vagina, bladder, or rectum)
- Fitting for vaginal pessary, a device used to support the uterus, bladder, vagina, or rectum
- Minimally invasive transvaginal surgery
- Uterine-sparing procedures (surgery without hysterectomy)
- Surgery for cystocele (dropped bladder)
- Surgery for rectocele (rectum that bulges into and through the vagina)
- Surgery for vaginal prolapse (where the top of the vagina has dropped after a hysterectomy has been performed)
- Surgery for enterocele (where loops of the small bowel cause a bulge in the vagina)
- Treatment for all forms of urinary incontinence, including urge incontinence (uncontrolled loss of urine, often associated with frequency, urgency, and excessive nighttime urination)
- Treatment for stress incontinence (loss of urine while coughing, sneezing, laughing, or during sexual activity)
- Treatment for fecal and flatal incontinence (uncontrollable loss of stool and/or gas)
