As the COVID-19 pandemic made it difficult to get in-person health care, medical providers embraced  technology platforms to bridge the gap for patients in need of everything from primary care to cardiology and from behavioral health to physical therapy. In an article by Montclair Local, SMG’s Dr. Jack Cappitelli, internal medicine physician and regional medical director of SMG for Bergen and Passaic counties, explains how SMG maximized telemedicine for our patients, as well as put measures in place to help patients resume in-person care of essential chronic disease care, procedures and preventive care, which were deferred due to COVID-19.
