Sol Silverman, DO, is a member of Summit Health’s Family Medicine team. As an osteopath, Dr. Silverman treats patients of all ages focusing on preventive medicine.

Dr. Silverman believes that primary care physicians are the first line of defense. He believes that having a doctor who knows your baselines, and history, and keeps you in check for routine screenings and vaccinations will optimize your health and well-being.

Continuity of care is the foundation of preventive medicine. Dr. Silverman sees his patients as individuals, not just as problems that need to be fixed. His goal is to always treat an individual experience and ailment as opposed to treating a textbook illness.

“As a physician, it is important that I am not only a doctor but a companion as well,” said Dr. Silverman. “A strong physician-patient relationship helps me make my patients feel both physically and mentally well.”

Outside of work, Dr. Silverman enjoys sports and spending time with family.
