About Xenia Baumert, PA-C
Xenia Baumert, PA-C is a board-certified physician assistant specializing in Pediatric Neurology. She is dedicated to providing compassionate, comprehensive care to children and adolescents with a wide range of neurologic conditions.
Xenia earned her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Quinnipiac University in Connecticut, graduating cum laude in 2022. Her clinical experience included several years in the pediatric emergency department of a major hospital, where she gained invaluable experience managing seizures, migraines, and other acute neurologic emergencies. This high-acuity setting provided her with a strong foundation in understanding complex neurological issues in children.
As a vital member of our Pediatric Neurology team, Xenia focuses on the diagnosis and management of ADHD, learning disabilities, autism, and migraines. She has a special interest in complex ADHD, which includes co-occurring conditions such as anxiety, depression, and behavioral or emotional challenges. Xenia holds an ADHD certification from Evergreen Education, underscoring her commitment to staying current with best practices and research in ADHD care.
During ADHD evaluations, Xenia takes a comprehensive and collaborative approach. She begins by collecting a detailed developmental history and symptom overview from parents or caregivers. She then meets with the child, often observing their behavior in the exam room or playroom to assess attention and behavior in a natural setting. Additional insights are often gathered through computerized testing or direct communication with the child’s teachers and Child Study Team. Xenia ensures that families understand the diagnosis, treatment options, and strategies for support.
When medication is indicated, she prescribes it carefully—starting at a low dose, adjusting gradually, and closely monitoring the child’s response and any side effects. This thoughtful, individualized process helps ensure each patient receives a treatment plan tailored to their unique needs.
Outside of her clinical work, Ms. Baumert enjoys activities that support her personal well-being and reflect the balance she encourages in her patients’ lives. She is an avid golfer and fitness enthusiast, and she loves to travel internationally to explore diverse cultures. She also enjoys baking sourdough bread and sweet treats, reading mystery novels, and spending quality time with friends and family
