Matthew Pearl, MD, is a member of the Summit Health Internal Medicine team. He chose a career in healthcare because of the privilege it offers to help others, along with an endless pursuit of knowledge. Dr. Pearl specializes in the diagnosis and medical management of adult patients with a variety of complex disease processes.

Dr. Pearl's approach to patient care is to be the physician he would want to care for a loved one of his own. He believes that listening to his patients is the most important part of a visit. “Listen first, speak second,” he says, emphasizing the importance of understanding a patient's needs and concerns.

What Dr. Pearl enjoys most about his work is the ability to provide comfort during times of great illness and stress. He says, “It's incredibly rewarding to be able to help patients navigate through difficult times and provide them with the care and support they need.”

Outside of his professional life, Dr. Pearl has a variety of interests. He enjoys singing and playing the guitar, and he's a fan of skateboarding. He's also a big fan of Jazz and Blues music.
