Christine Busby, APN, is a dedicated member of the Pediatrics team at Summit Health. Having always had a strong interest in health, nutrition, and biology, Christine knew she wanted a career that could make a difference in people's lives. Pediatrics felt like the perfect intersection of those interests.

Christine has always worked in Pediatrics. She has mostly worked in outpatient primary care but also has experience in the Pediatric ICU. She believes that both the provider and patient get more out of each visit when there is great communication. Christine strives to both actively listen to her patients and their families to better address their concerns, and clearly educate and explain diagnoses or treatment plans.

Christine says. "I love working in pediatrics because watching children grow, develop, meet their milestones is such an incredible process. I also enjoy the continuity of care that working in a primary care setting allows. We really get to know our patients."

Outside of work, Christine enjoys cooking, outdoor exercise, painting, and traveling to new places. She is passionate about educating parents about nutrition, exercise, and social media/ technology use, as that will naturally rub off on their children. Christine also hopes we can see a future with a more environmentally and financially sustainable approach to healthcare.
