Anita Nash, MSN, APN, AGNP-C, is a member of Summit Health’s Oncology team. After experiencing the impact of terminal illnesses in her community, Ms. Nash developed a passion for building resilience in survivors. She understood early on the difference a healthcare professional could make in someone's life, which led her to pursue a career in nursing and later as an Advanced Practice Nurse.

Ms. Nash's area of expertise is with adult patients. She strongly believes in individualized, patient-centered care delivered with honesty and compassion. She understands that each patient has a unique situation and promotes an environment that respects and supports all patients and their families.

During a patient visit, Ms. Nash prioritizes agenda-setting, open-ended questions, reflective statements, and visit summaries. She says, "I want my patients to know the floor is theirs and this time is their time, so they have firm control over their circumstance to the best of their ability. Communication is key to building positive outcomes and relationships."

Outside of her professional life, Ms. Nash has many interests. She has run 50K races, competed at a national level in women's powerlifting, and enjoys watercolor painting, reading, and hiking with her dogs. However, she mostly enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She is especially passionate about purpose and growth, health and wellbeing, improving the welfare of animals, and coaching and teaching.
