About Lynzi Swartz, PA
Lynzi Swartz, PA, has been drawn to the health care field since childhood. Growing up, Ms. Swartz watched her father, a physician and her role model, make a difference in people’s lives by helping them overcome illnesses and improve their overall health and quality of life. Her father’s dedication to his profession and compassion for his patients inspired Ms. Swartz to pursue a career as a physician assistant.
As an undergraduate of Binghamton University, Ms. Swartz graduated summa cum laude with a degree in Biology. She obtained her master's degree in physician assistant studies at Hofstra University.
As a physician assistant in gastroenterology, Ms. Swartz works alongside gastroenterologists to provide comprehensive patient care. “I can diagnose and treat a wide array of gastrointestinal disorders such as but not limited to; acid reflux, irritable bowel syndrome, H. Pylori infection, chronic constipation, chronic diarrhea and diseases of the esophagus” she said.
Ms. Swartz believes in providing a patient-centered approach to care, prioritizing education and making patients a part of the decision-making process. It is important that each patient understands their diagnosis and is comfortable with their treatment plan.
When she treats patients, Ms. Swartz feels it is essential to establish a strong connection. Developing a relationship with the patient is key to understanding their concerns, developing trust, and providing effective care.
Ms. Swartz enjoys making a positive impact on her patients’ lives and seeing them progress through their health care journey. As a physician assistant, she can build meaningful connections with patients while serving as a valuable member of the health care team.
When Ms. Swartz is not seeing patients in the office, she enjoys spending time with her family, reading, exercising, and exploring New York City. Her passions include mental health advocacy and awareness. She would like to encourage the community to start screening for colorectal cancer at age 45, and before age 45 for some people at higher risk and stresses the importance of following a healthy lifestyle including diet and exercise.
