Ms. Cano earned her Bachelor of Science in nursing from the College of New Rochelle and completed a psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioner program at Hunter College in New York, NY. She values developing therapeutic relationships with patients, with an interest in helping others overcome personal situations.

Prior to joining Summit Health (formerly Westmed Medical Group), Ms. Cano worked as a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner at the Postgraduate Center for Mental Health - Bronx Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) Team, which provides mobile intensive treatment and support to people with psychiatric disabilities. Additionally, she worked at Greenhope Services for Women, which provides treatment programs for formerly incarcerated women with a history of substance abuse. Ms. Cano's clinical experience as a behavioral health nurse includes numerous organizations such as Mount Sinai St. Luke's Hospital, New York-Presbyterian Allen Hospital and North Central Hospital in Bronx, NY.

Ms. Cano is board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
