Elizabeth Zielinski MD is a member of the Summit Health Hand Surgery team. Dr. Zielinski pursued a career in health care because of inspiration from mentors in her life. Her area of expertise is orthopedic hand and upper extremity, involving trauma and microsurgery. These include peripheral nerve injuries and conditions, hand and wrist arthritis, hand, wrist and elbow fractures, ligament injuries, and Dupuytren’s Disease.

Dr. Zielinski’s special clinical interests include Carpal tunnel release, wrist arthroscopy, and arthroplasty. Fracture fixation of the hand, wrist and elbow, wide-awake surgery with local anesthesia, microsurgery, nerve repair, tendon and ligament repair and reconstruction.

Most important to the doctor during a patient visit is shared decision making with the patient, providing patients with both conservative and surgical treatment options for the presenting conditions. She enjoys getting the patient back to achieving their goals and activities they find important, that their condition has prevented them from pursuing.

Outside of treating patients, Dr. Zielinski’s interests include spending time with family, cooking, and playing soccer. She has been previously involved in research with multiple publications, abstracts and presentations.
