Dr. Adam Barrison is the Chief Physician Executive at Summit Health. Previously, Dr. Barrison held several leadership positions within Summit Health (formerly Summit Medical Group), including Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors. In his current role, his focus centers around the management of Summit Health’s medical providers, clinical operations, and quality standards.

Dr. Barrison is a board-certified gastroenterologist, who remains on the leading edge of his specialty since joining the gastroenterology staff at Summit Health in 2001. During that time, he has performed over 35,000 endoscopic procedures. Dr. Barrison is a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society and the American Gastroenterological Association. He has been featured in New Jersey Monthly "Top Doctors" listings and Millburn-Short Hills magazine "Super Doctors" listings. He also has been listed in Castle Connolly's "America's Top Doctors" and Castle Connolly's "Top Doctors in the New York Metro Area." Dr. Barrison's Castle Connolly listings have been reprinted in Inside Jersey and US News and World Report

A devoted father of two children, Dr. Barrison spends time with his family when he is not working with his patients. His personal interests include travel and finance.
