Buttock Augmentation with Fat Transfer (BBL)

Buttock Augmentation with Fat Transfer (BBL)

At Summit Health, we offer Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) procedures to help you achieve the fuller, more youthful contours you desire. This procedure uses your own body’s fat to enhance your buttocks, creating a more balanced, natural appearance. By harvesting fat from areas such as the abdomen or flanks via liposuction, the fat is purified and then re-injected into the buttocks for enhanced volume and contour. The result is a lifted and shapelier backside, with the added benefit of slimming down areas where the fat was removed.

Our skilled surgeons tailor each BBL procedure to meet the unique goals and needs of every patient. Whether you're looking for a subtle enhancement or a more dramatic transformation, our experienced team is committed to delivering beautiful, natural-looking results.

Frequently Asked Questions

BBL results are long-lasting. The fat that’s transferred to your buttocks will begin to grow its own blood supply. However, about 30-50% of the fat may not survive and will be absorbed by your body in the first few weeks. The remaining fat will stay in place for life, meaning the results can be permanent as long as you maintain a healthy weight. Keep in mind that weight gain or loss can affect the size and shape of your buttocks.

For the best results, you should avoid sitting directly on your buttocks for at least two weeks. This helps keep blood flowing to the area and protects the newly placed fat cells. You can lie on your side or stomach or use a special BBL cushion to sit without putting pressure on your buttocks.

Yes, the BBL procedure uses your own fat, so the results will look and feel very natural. In the first few months, the area may feel firmer than expected, but this is temporary. Over time, the area will soften and take on a natural shape.

The incisions used to remove the fat are small and placed in areas where scars are less noticeable. Over time, these scars will fade and become nearly invisible. We also offer treatments to help improve healing and reduce scarring.

While sitting directly on your buttocks is not recommended, you can still use the restroom. To make this easier, try placing a rolled towel under your thighs to avoid pressure on the treated area. You should also aim to keep restroom visits brief. Stool softeners can help with any discomfort.

Most people can return to work in one to two weeks after the procedure. You will need to wear a compression garment and avoid sitting directly on your buttocks during this time. Sitting on pillows can help reduce pressure and support healing.
